For ready reference and purposes of comparison I show below the result of meter readings for November and similar months: Nov. 1942 - 79,183,600 Gals Nov. 1941 -100,439,900 » Oct. 1942 -132,082,800 M Deo. 1942 - 90,123,700 " Please note there was a decrease of more than 50 million gallons from October 1942 and a decrease of 20 million from November 1941; although the town's population increased in 1942 and unquestionably more water was used. Analysis points the finger of suspicion at the Clark Street meter as you will note from the following table: Clark Street Meter Nov. 1942 - 36,010,000 Gals.
