Gear Mr. Grant: Confirming our conference today: The Grandview later Company have requested that we take over their pipe lines in Grandview A edition and the distribution of water to their consumers thereon, because they have no remaining real estate in the sub­division and do not ®ish to operate purely as a public utility. In considering their proposal, a problem arises in connection with rendering services to the houses located on Thirteenth Street which have been and are now supplied through the mains of the Grandview later Company. As we understand it, the condemnation proceedings in Case So. 389 includes the real estate where the new Army Hous­ing Project ©f 164 houses has Just been completed, and also the 4-inch cast iron line lying within the boundaries thereof, which i eludes the pipe line serving the houses above mentioned on Thirteenth Street, Just east of the Project. If we take over the operation of the Grandview later Company's lines, we will n douhtedly be required by the Public Service Corn®!a ion to continue water service to these houses, which are located in Block 3 of Fourteenth Street Addition.
