SEWER CONNECTION Wilbur Clark TAXICAB RATES RECESS RECONVENED CHIEF OF POLICE - Vote of Confidence Commissioner Peccole moved that pursuant to the report of the City Manager that the sewer lines were insufficient, the application of Wilbur Clark to connect to the City Sewer be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following votes Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the fare rates of the taxicab companies were submitted to the Board for their consideration. Commissioner Whipple moved that these rates as submitted be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following votes Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Moore moved this meeting recess. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following votes Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 5s20 P.M. by His Honor Mayor E. W. Cragin with all members present as of the opening session. Commissioner Moore moved that R. F. Malburg, Chief of Police of the City of Las Vegas be given a vote of confidence. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following votes Commissioners Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Bunker and Peccole passed their votes. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time, Commissioner Bunker moved this meeting recess until December 16, 1949 at the hour of 3:00 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following votes Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PAYROLL WARRANTS SERVICE & MATERIAL WARRANTS PROPOSED ORDINANCE - Assessment District #100-3 PROPOSED ORDINANCE - Assessment District #100-4 ******************** MINUTES of DECEMBER l4, 1949 on Page 17 and 18. Las Vegas, Nevada December 16, 1949 A recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 16th day of December, 1949 was called to order at the hour of 3:40 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple with the following members present* Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole; City Manager George O. Treem, City Attorney Howard W. Cannon and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger, Absent: Mayor Cragin. Commissioner Moore moved that Payroll Warrants Nos. 1096 to 1098 inclusive in the net sum of $27,842.l6 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin, Commissioner Moore moved that Service & Material Warrants Nos. 1879 to 1881 inclusive in the total amount of $11,772,36 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DETERMINATION OF THE BOARD OF COMMIS- SIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, TO MAKE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF IAS VEGAS BY GRADING FOR AND CONSTRUCTING OIL BOUND GRAVEL PAVEMENT AND CONCRETE CURBS AND GUTTERS, COMPLETE STREET LIGHTING, AND SIDEWALKS WHENEVER NECESSARY ON CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN SAID CITY; PROVIDING THAT THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF SHALL BE PAID ENTIRELY BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON ALL THE LOTS INCLUDED WITHIN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT HEREBY ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO THE BENEFITS; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and. Peccole for report.
