B. ROBERTSON ASSISTANT TRAFFIC MANAGER PACIFIC ELECTRIC BUILDING LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA May 28 th, 1951, File A- Mr. Walter R. Bracken, Las Vegas, Nevada. My dear Walter: Two gentlemen called on me this morning and stated they had purchased a triangular piece of property along our tracks north of the city and that conveyance of the deeds would be made today* They stated further that the purchase of this property was made for the purpose of locating Block 16 thereon. They wanted to know - first, if we would object to their landscaping the triangular piece across the street Immediately south in order to beautify that neighborhood — and, second, if we would be willing: to lease them, for a term of years, a part of the property facing the highway and adjoining their triangular piece on a part of which they desire to build a small hotel. I told them this matter would have to be discussed with you and that nothing world be done in the matter without your recommendation. The purpose of this letter is to put you on your guard against possible contrary statements by the gentlemen in question.
