A p m i?t m o V 18-1-12-A ^Sunday, April l6th, lari Leavitt called at the house saying he understood the city would step deliveries of water thru the old septic tank on June 1st, at which time it was anticipated the new plant would he in operation, X asked him to have Vi 11 Stewart cose down from St. George so we oould meet the new 01 ty Manager mon&ay. Monday, April 17th Messrs. Stewart, Leavitt and mplMlf called on the City Manager and explained the contractile agreement between the LVL&WOo, and the 01 ty of Las Vegas covering deliveries of water to the ranch, which had been supplemented by a verbal agreement by the Olnty Commissioners when the 0. S. Government condemned 20 acres for the plant erected by the Army Engineers during the war. Mr. Stewart alec stated he had been promised by the City Commissioners, early this spring, when hie eropt were planted that delivery would be con­tinued until October 1st to permit him to harvest his crop. Mr. Shelley stated the City was now employing five men to operate the plant, but this would be reduced to one man after the new plant was in operation, but he saw no harm in eontinueing deliveries thmethe old septic tank if this Oould be dons without expense to the City.
