Dear Sir* Replying to your letter June 18th regarding Las'7«gas City Ordinance Bo-225, adopted May 27, 1937, relating to the abandonment and vacation of a portion of South Main Street, between Garces and Casa Streets: I attach hereto a print showing in detail the triangular parcel of ground referred to. You will note it has a frontage of 192 ft, on South Main, which ml^it be of some future benefit to us for use as addi­tional industrial sites, were we to acquire this strip. As a matter of information to you, it is our understanding that these abandonment proceedings were prompted by the Associated Oil Con$>any, who have con­structed their service station partly on the land in quest!on,ypnd it was their idea that if they would pay th© city for the cost of the abandonment proceedings, then buy in this strip, it would avoid the necessity for their having to move their service station aid also prevent any other parties from erecting signs on the ground adjacent to their station. Uhls is a portion of the land sold to the First State Bank in 1926, our Deed Audit Ho* 3253, men­tioned in your letter of May 22, 1937, and in the event it is abandoned for street purposes, it reverts to the First State Bank, **e have made or rang enent s with th©
