LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER DISTRICT 900 SOUTH 5TH STREET LAS VEGAS, NEVADA TELEPHONE 5920 April 16, 1954 TO THE: Board of City Commissioners City of Las Vegas City Hall Las Vegas, Nevada Gentlemen: There is being transmitted to you herewith facsimile copy of a self-explanatory letter signed by E. E. Bennett, General Solicitor of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, acting for the Las Vegas Land and Water Company. In view of the statements as set forth in Mr. Bennett's letter indicating that the "water situation will be very tight" until new wells are brought on production and turned into the company's distributing system, the District adopted a formal resolution at a meeting held yesterday afternoon respectfully requesting the Board of City Commissioners to put into effect as of May 1, the water rationing program that was in effect last year.
