An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 562 be adopted. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 529 ENTITLED: " AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR NURSERIES AND CHILD CARE FACILITIES WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, "BY CHANGING THE DEFINITION OF COMMERCIAL NURSERY; TO PROHIBIT ANY CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF ONE YEAR TO BE ADMITTED TO A DAY NURSERY OR COMMERCIAL NURSERY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, having been read by title and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp for recommendation. It was requested that the proposed ordinance on the moving of buildings be ready for consideration on July 29, 1953. The application of Walther and Martha Hunsaker for variance to construct a laundry and storage within 7 feet of the alley on the NW corner of Maryland Parkway and Lewis, Lots 29 to 32 inc., Block 10, Pioneer Heights Addition was considered. Acting Mayor Sharp took the chair at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved this application be approved and the following resolution adopted: WHEREAS, on the 27th day of June, 1953 Walter and Martha Hunsaker filed an application with the Regional Planning Commission for variance to construct and maintain laundry and storage facilities within seven feet of the alley where 20 feet is required. this property is located on the Northwest comer of Maryland Parkway and Lewis Street on Lots 29 to 32 inclusive, Block 10, Pioneer Heights in an R-4 Use District; and 7-15-53
