(copy copy copy) Las Vegas - May 28, 1953 W-23-1-125 CCj Mr. E. B. Bennett On May 25, 1953 Mr. L.W. Cochran, one of the owners of a proposed Subdivision called "Morning View Heights," Las Vegas, Nevada, called at my office with one print of proposed Subdivision requesting that this office write a letter stating that the Las Vegas Land and Water Company would serve water to his proposed Subdivision. Mr. Cochran stated that the Las Vegas City Commissioners would not approve his Subdivision until such time as they had in their possession a letter from the Water Company stating that it would provide water service. Today I received a formal application dated May 25, 1953 for water service to "Morning View Heights," which was signed by Mr. L.W. Cochran. After receipt of this letter, Mr. Cochran came into my office making inquiry as to whether the requested letter had been written. I advised him that I had just received his letter of application and that I was forwarding it to our officials in Lqs Angeles for decision as to whether such a letter would be written. Mr. Cochran then stated that he planned to go to Los Angeles, probably next Monday, at which time he would contact your office and discuss this matter. I took the liberty of referring him to Mr. Bennett and he will probably contact Mr. Bennett either Friday, May 29, or Monday regarding this matter. I am attaching one photostatic copy of Subdivision map furnished by Mr. Cochran and have also prepared and am attaching, Mr. Wm. Reinhardt - Los Angeles
