Las Vegas - February 25, 1953. Mr* W*3U Johnson - Los Angeles Yesterday Mr* F.J• Purdy who occupies a lease for the purpose of oonduotlng a junk business In an area indicated on the attached rough sketoh dated February Zkt 1953 and which lies just northerly of the Las Vegas Greek and westerly of Union Pacific main line, called me with respect to leasing an additional area marked “B* on which he states Mr* A*G* Bitter promised him a lease* I do not have data showing the area of ground actually under lease to Mr. Purdy, but as a matter of information, I roughly paced off the frontage of area now being used by Mr* Purdy in the conduct of his junk business, which is indicated on the attached sketoh. In addition to the area marked **BM on which he states Mr. litter promised him a lease, Mr* Purdy indicated that he would be glad to lease an additional area westerly from his present lease, which the sketch indicate® he is now using* Mr* Purdy is very anxious to secure a lease for the area marked rtBM and would like to have you advise ae whether or not lease is now in course of construction.
