As a means of expediting construction of line between points A and 0, I suggest the following: (a) Approval by Mr. Reinhardt of change in plan and basis of construction from deposit and con­struction by Water Company to basis of construction by private contract as Contained in my letter to Mr. James M. Montgomery dated March 8, 195*** which includes construction of portion of 8 ” main between points C and B. In this connection I am submitting herewith copy of letter from Mr. Thomas A. Campbell to me dated March 15th and copy of letter from Mr. James M. Montgomery to Mr. Thomas A. Campbell dated March 12th, both of which indicate District’s approval contingent upon their receipt of three bids, which were subse­quently sent Mr. Montgomery by the Subdivider, copy of revised estimate dated March 5* 195**# and one print of revised plan B-623 dated March 22, 195**« Work Order 7&5 already authorizes funds for this project, except on a different basis of Rule 9 agree­ment, and I do not think it necessary to re-submit to Omaha. Mr. Reinhardt’s approval will permit me to authorize Subdivider to proceed upon execution of agreement, which I will ask Mr, Cory to prepare. (b) When Mr. Cochran of Morning View Heights has commenced construction of his portion of the line in Qakey Boulevard between points C and B, I will immediately submit project for construction of 8* water main between points A and C on the basis of Company expense if at that time it la Impossible to secure an application from a Subdivider. It is my understanding that you will discuss this situation with Mr. Reinhardt and advise whether he approves of the procedure suggested in paragraph 7« L. R. Maag Attachments: 1.
