if f : ttau Reinhardt - Page # 2 I an advised by Mr, George Made, of Public works for the City, that the 01 ty Oommisaianers hare authorised the City Attorney t© file friendly condemnation proceedings against the L&e Vegas hand and Water Company end the Union pacific Railroad Company la order that they might thereby secure a court order giving them immediate possession of the area covered by easements requested, so that the wotlg of constructing the sewers will not be interrupted. 1 m also advised they hope the easements shown in blue color on the attached m&p can be secured prior to the time they are required, thereby eliminating the necessity of condemnation proceedings. In view of the above, it is suggested' that you might wish me to request Mr, Cory to prepare easements to the City which, of course, would be subject to our agreement with the District as contained in “G"L.D*-XX3h2 dated June X, 1953# granting to the City easements across the property which it is proposed to sell to the District, copies of which I could then forward to the District far their approval, the descriptions of the. e&aements in which, the water District would be involved are contained In the City*® letter of February 3, 195b, a# parcels 1, 2 and 6. The balance of the easements requested in their letter, which are Parcels 3, k and 5* w e l d not require approval of the Mater District. If there Is no objection to granting the easements requested toy the City of Las Vegas, it will be appreciated if Mr. Bates will Chech the descriptions of the various parcels end advise Mr. Gory direct as quickly as possible. If we are to avoid condemnation proceedings it will, of course, be necessary to expedite the Mater District's approvals and the preparation of easements requested. Please advise. L. ft. Ma&g Attachments - 3 LBMilia Blind Note to Mr. Bennett: This matter was previously discussed between us, and I would appreciate it if you would discuss it with Mr, Reinhardt at your earliest convenience.
