    29 Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bates. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Clark moved that that Service & Material Warrants Nos WARRANTS 1106, 1109 to 1111 inclusive, and 1113 in the sum of $l8,944.06 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bates. PETITION- Re: Commissioner Clark that that certain petition filed with the City Zoning Clerk on March 10, 1947 signed by property owners in the Park Place Addition protesting the erection of multiple dwellings in That area be referred to the Planning Commission for their information. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none, Absent: Commissioner Bates. BIDS — Lamps Bids from the following firms for lamps for City use were opened at this time: STANDARD WHSE SUPPLY CO. CLARK COUNTY ELECTRIC OSBORNE & KITCHEN, Reno, Nev. STONEY ELECTRIC LUCE & GOODFELLOW (600 basis) LUCE & GOODFELLOW(1500 basis) Said bids were referred to the Comptroller for computation. ORDINANCE No. 328 The Committee composed of Commissioners Corradetti and Baskin reported favorably on proposed Ordinance No. 328 entitled "AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DETERMINATION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSION­ERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS TO MAKE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY INSTALLING COMPLETE STREET LIGHTING UNITS WITH PARK WAY CABLE AND STEEL STANDARDS ALONG CERTAIN STREETS IN SAID CITY: PROVIDING THAT THE COST AND EXTENT THEREOF SHALL BE PAID ENTIRELY BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON ALL LOTS INCLUDED IN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT HEREBY ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO FRONTAGE: EXCEPT WHEREBY THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS CERTAIN PORTIONS THEREOF ARE REQUIRED PAID FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO," which said ordinance was read in its entirety for the first time. After which Commissioner Baskin moved its approval and adoption. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following voter Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bates. HEARING ON PRO- In the regular corse of business the Board called for objection to CLAMATION— the consideration and passage of an ordinance providing for a bond Swimming Pool/Bath issue in the amount of $100,000.00 for the construction of bath- Houses houses and facilities in connection with swimming pools, of which notice was given by proclamation published in the Las Vegas Evening Review Journal. No objection having been voiced in response to the Mayor's call the question was tabled for further consideration at a recessed meeting to be held on March 24, 1947 at the hour of 10 a.m. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC No. 330 HEALTH BY PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION OF PUBLIC EATING AND DRINKING PLACES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS: PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION FEES AND THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF INSPECTION: REQUIRING HEALTH CERTIFI­CATES OF ALL PERSONS EMPLOYED THEREIN: CONFERRING POWERS AND IMPOSING PENALTIES: AND ALL MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO," was read to the Board by title and referred to Commissioners Clark and Corradetti for study and recommendation at the next regular meeting of the Board. FISH HATCHERY-- Commissioner Clark moved that the City Manager be authorized to negotiate Property the acquisition of the Fish Hatchery property. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bates. STREETS & HIGHWAYS On motion of Commissioner Clark duly seconded by Commissioner Baskin R/W - Colorado and carried unanimously the following resolution was adopted and order made: BE IT RESOLVED this 22nd day of March, 1947 by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed dated the 31st day of December, 1946 executed by C. S. Wengert and Lottie Wengert, husband and wife, and C. L. Ronnow and Mary Ronnow, husband and wife, to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board.
