Las Vegas - March 15# 195^ ¥ 18-4 STAffSMSMT as OAFFX X got here about ?ib5 A. M*, SYIday, March 12# 195^# and I found Gappy Owens lying in the hallway saying he was hurt. I had sons of the men who were working in Mr. Gardner* e room • take him to his room# and I reported it to the housekeeper, who •reported it to the office. When I found him, Gappy was lying right in the middle of the hallway with his head against the door of Boon 8. He had apparently been on his way to the bathroom. The nan who carried his to his room included Mr. Sheller. X want down later to see him and he said he couldn't sit up, that he had hurt his back. It was before 8:00 A. M. that X found him. X left home about ?:G5 A. M. and I live only a block away. X don't know how long he had been lying there. Hetty Muohew
