Review o f pumpers d a ily rep orts o f the Charleston and Clark R eservoir operations in d ic a te that l i t t l e a tten tio n is being given to the s itu a tio n . During the past week the supply o f water and pressure a t the Clark R eservoir has been w holly inadequate. Between 9*^5 and 10§45 p.m ,, standard tim e, July 16, the pumps at Clark R eservoir cut out due to inadequate water le v e l in the r e s e r v o ir , although from a »®* u n til 9ik$ P *-m® both pumps were running and a pressure o f 10 to 1? pounds was maintained during that p erio d w ith 16 pounds at 9:^5 P . « . During the e n tir e day a pressure o f 30 to kO pounds was maintain ed at the Charleston R eservoir. On July 21, the Clark S treet pumps again cut out a t 9:15 p.m. account in s u ffic ie n t water and the pumps were not sta rted u n til 4;30 a.m ., July 22. U n til 9*15 p.m ., July 21, two pumps were operated and pressure ranging from 12 to 15 pounds was maintained u n til 2:^5 p.m. *hen i t was reduced to 8 pounds and th e re a fte r declin ed to 2 pounds. On July 22, the Clark pumps cut out between kik$ and 5l4| p.m ,, again account low water le v e l* Pressure o f 10 to 16 pounds had been maintained from 6330 a.m. u n til 1:^5 P*m* and th e re a fte r i t d eclin ed u n til the pumps cut out.
