Blad. who i eard- the first case of water waste complaint and finished off the day with fine of $1 against : Mrs. Frances Smith, the defendant. Joe Bunker, special water officer testified as to overflow on the street at 1124 Norman avenue on June 2. The deiendant made a general denial but the officer [ appeared in rebuttal, asserting he had contacted 2 000 residents during his regime and she was first to appear in court, charging a discourtesy. Judge Blad cautioned the de-fendant and reminded her the ! ordinance provides for fines from $1 to $200. “I am giving you the benefit of the doubt,” he said, concerning water wastage. C. Norman Cornwall made his debut as city attorney and heard the usual variety of cases with another round of the O. B.
