Fir s t National Bank NEVADA South Fifth Street Branch Las Vegas, Nevada August 7, 1952 Las Vegas Land and Water Company 1*01 South 2nd Street Las Vegas, Nevada ATTENTION: W. H. Johnson Acting General Manager Gentlemen: In response to your notice dated August 6 stating that you were advised that we recently installed a 23> ton refrigeration machine, no refrigeration equipment has been installed since our building was erected and we opened for business on April 2l*, 1951* When the building was erected it was equipped with a Chrysler air conditioning trait* Someone from your office made a check about this time to determine the number of outlets and equipment we were using and our rate was based on this. Your employee saw the equipment we have* The only water that is used in connection with this equipment is a recirculating pump to cool steel tubing which returns the gas from the condensers. The amount of water consumed would not amount to more than is vised in an ordinary one family residence* If your rate is based on the amount of water used per day, I think it is not consistent as there is no evaporation whatever and no water is wasted* We would be very happy to have you call and personally inspect this unit* Yours trgly, Whipple Asst* Vice President
