TAXI APPLICATIONS Commissioner Whipple moved the following applications for renewal of license for the operation of vehicles for hire, for 1951 be approved: CHECKER CAB CORP. Rex F. Stilwell 1 Taxicab GRAYLIKE CAB CO. 1 taxicab TANNER MOTOR TOURS 21 U-Drives 10 Busses LUCKY CAB CO. 23 Taxicabs Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. PAWNSHOP LICENSE Commissioner Whipple moved the application of, J. H. Eckerson, Pioneer Jewelry Renewal & Loan, 120 South 1st for renewal of pawnbrokers license for 1951 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. LAS VEGAS LAND & WATER CO. At this time the preliminary report of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to the Preliminary Report on Public Service Commission regarding the proposed installation of new pumps on Water Supply existing wells to increase the water supply in the City was presented to the Board for their consideration. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the Board recommend to the Public Service Commission that the preliminary report of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company be accepted, and the case be held open until the plans are put into effect to see if the pumps produce; further that the City Attorney be instructed to notify the Public Service Commission of the action of this Board. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. LIQUOR APPLICATION - Commissioner Moore moved the application of M. H. and S. J. Gordon and Geneva Mikes Liquor Store Friednash, Mike's Liquor Store, 106 Fremont for a Retail Liquor (Minature) license for 1951 be disapproved for the reason that Miss Friednash does not qualify under the ordinance because of not being a registered voter; further that said application be granted to M. H. and S. J. Gordon. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole. REFUND OF MONEY Commissioner Moore moved the request of Edward H. Blake for refund of $50.00 Liquor Application deposited with his application for a Restaurant Beverage license at the Second Street Lunch Stand, 117 South 2nd Street be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole.
