When Gia Maione finished singing, she was given a rousing standing ovation by all the members of the Press. Within the next few days, Gia received accolades from all the newspapermen and critics. In June of the same year, Gia Maione opened with Louis Prima, Sam Butera and The Witnesses at the famous Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas, and became an over-night sensation.
