Sec. 12. Every person engaged in plumbing work, either as a master plumber of the age of twenty-one or over, journeyman plumber or apprentice, at the time of the taking effect of this ordinance, shall apply for and receive a certificate of competency from said examining board before continuing such work, but shall not be required to submit to examination in order to receive the same. The provisions for annual renewal of certificates shall apply to them, but in case of revocation of a certificate of competency, as herein provided for, such person shall submit to and pass and examination for competency before such examining board before being reinstated and having a new certificate issued to him. Sec. 13. Every person, as principal, agent, manger or employee, violating, or failing, neglecting, or refusing to comply with, any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period not exceeding one hundred days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Sec. 14. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Sec. 15. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, and adoption and publication for a period of one week (3 issues) in Las Vegas Age, a triweekly newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Passed and adopted this 6 day of June, A.D. 1930, by the following vote of the Board of Commissioners: Commissioners Hansell, Thomas, German, and His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, voting Aye. Itinerant Hawkers and Peddlers----For the purpose of this ordinance Itinerant Hawkers and Peddlers are defined to be all persons traveling from house to house carrying meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, or other farm products, dry goods, furs, groceries, cigars, tobacco and other merchandise with them and selling and delivering the same at retail from a pack or truck, automobile, wagon or other vehicle and all persons selling and delivering any of said goods at retail from motor trucks, wagons or other vehicles or freight cars or at any place not a fixed place of business in the City of Las Vegas.
