BOOS, Administrative Assistant, and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Baker, a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 5th and Stewart, on the 8th day of May 1957, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Public Hearing - Vacation of a portion of Hinkle Drive. 2. Sharp______________ Las Vegas, Nevada May 8, 1957 CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada held this 8th day of May, 1957 was called to order at the hour of 8:00 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Baker with the following members present: Mayor C. D. Baker Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner Harris P. Sharp Commissioner Reed Whipple City Manager A. H. Kennedy Adm. Assistant Robert F. Boos City Attorney Howard W. Cannon Planning Director Franklin Bills Director of Public Works George E. Wade City Clerk Shirley Lodwick Absent: Commissioner E. W. Fountain PUBLIC HEARING This being the time heretofore set for the public hearing on the petition of Vacation of a Portion property owners, and the recommendation of the Planning Commission for the va- of Hinkle Drive cation of a portion of Hinkle Drive, described as follows: A certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situate in the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and being a portion of the NE¼ of the NE¼ of Section 26, T20S, R61E, MDB&M, being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: The South two (2) feet of the North twenty-five (25) feet of the East 237.5 feet of the SE¼ of the NE¼ of the NE¼ of Section 26, T20S, R61E, MDB&M, Save and Except the East forty (40) feet thereof. His Honor asked for objections, if any. No one present objected, and there were no protests filed with the Clerk. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that pursuant to the recommendation of the Planning Commission, this petition for the vacation of a portion of Hinkle Drive be approved, and the following order adopted: ORDER OF VACATION A Petition, dated the 23rd day of January, 1957, signed by five (5) freeholders residing in the area affected, having been filed with the Clerk of this Board, petitioning for the vacation of a portion of Hinkle Drive hereinafter described, and said Petition having been by Order of this Board referred to the Planning Commission of the City of Las Vegas for its recommendation in the premises, and said Planning Commission having filed its report, dated March 27, 1957, and this Board approving and recommending said vacation; And this Board by an order made at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of April, 1957, set the 8th day of May, 1957, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Commissioner's Room of the Board of Commissioners, in the City Hall, located at 400 Stewart Street, in the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, as the time and place for the Public Hearing on said Petition and recommendation, and ordered the City Clerk to cause the aforesaid portion of street proposed to be vacated to be posted with a Notice setting forth the time and place of the Public Hearing and the extent of the proposed vacation;
