Las Vegas, Nevada May 16, 1947 CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: HELEN SCOTT REED, City Clerk LAS VEGAS, NEVADA A Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas is hereby called to be held in the Commissioners Council Chamber in the War Memorial Building on Friday, May 16, 1947 at the hour of 10:00 A.M., to act upon the following: 1. Check Election returns. /s/ E. W. Cragin_______________ Mayor NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: E. W. CRAGIN, Mayor, and to C. R. CLARK, A. CORRADETTI, R. T. "Bob" BASKIN, Mayor and Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of city Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held on Friday, May 16, 1947 at the hour of 10:00 A.M. to consider the following business: 1. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor Mayor Cragin; City Clerk Helen Scott Reed; and City Attorney C. Norman Cornwall. At this time Mayor Cragin made a statement that the Board of Commissioners find that there are discrepancies in the final canvass of votes in the following precincts: Precinct #9 16 votes over for Commissioner 3rd Class Precinct #17 1 vote over for Commissioner 3rd Class Precinct #19 1 vote over for Commissioner 3rd Class Precinct #22 1 vote over for Mayor Thereafter this meeting recessed until 4:00 P.M. this date. At the hour of 4:00 P.M. meeting reconvened with the following members present: Commissioners Clark, Corradetti and His Honor Mayor E. W. Cragin; City Clerk Helen Scott Reed. Absent: Commissioner Baskin and City Attorney C. Norman Cornwall. At this time the Board proceeded to canvass the votes on the Bond Election. On the question, "Shall the City of Las Vegas issue bonds in the sum of $350,000.00 to secure the necessary funds to finance the exercise of the option contained in the lease of War Public Works Project NEV.26-116-F from the United States of America to the City of Las Vegas, for the purchase of all Governments right, title, and interest in and to the Leased Property consisting generally of the Sewage Disposal Plant, pipe, pipeline, accessories and facilities for the conveyance of sewage together with certain land or interest in lands, in or near the City of Las Vegas, and to finance the extension and Improvement of said pro- NON PROPERTY OWNERS BALLOTS YES NO
