    12 Thereafter Commissioner Bates moved that the foregoing Budget be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Bates, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CLAIMS Commissioner Bates moved that Service & Material Warrants Nos. 1046-1 and 1046- in the sum of $229.06 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Bates, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Bates moved that this meeting adjourn until February 7, 1947 at the hour of 2 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Bates, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ATTEST: APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor February 7: 19 4 7 At a regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners held this 7th day of February, 1947. Meeting called to order at the hour of 3:10 P.M. by His Honor Mayor E. W. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti; City Manager T. E. Fennessy; and City Clerk Helen Scott Reed. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark and City Attorney C. Norman Cornwall. PAYROLL CLAIMS Commissioner Bates moved that Payroll Claims Nos. 1049-1057 inc. in the net sum of $24,474.72 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Bates moved that Service & Material Claims Nos. 1059- CLAIMS 1062 inclusive in the sum of $29,147.52 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. GAMING APPLICATIONS The following gaming applications were presented to the Board for their consideration: Howard Crawford Chas. Keene Assoc. Station Sam Taylor Log Cabin Bar Andrew Finlay Turf Saloon Earl V. Buchanan Italian Kitchen Cafe Jack Carter Lincoln Auto Court Roy B. Nelson Harold's Drive In A. H. Stevenson Jr. Boulder Club Veg. Sweet Shop Reba Truesdell B. & C.Station Commissioner Bates moved that the foregoing applications be granted, and licenses issued. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. RETAIL RESTAURANT Commissioner Bates moved that the application of Stanley Allen Wells BEVERAGE for a Retail Restaurant Beverage license at 1039 South Main Street Betty's Cafe — be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. ORDINANCE No. An Ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 238 OF 327 THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATING AND OPERATION OF BICYCLES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF", was first proposed and read by title to the Board of City Commissioners on the 22nd day of January, 1947 and referred to a committee composed of Commissioners Baskin and Corradetti for recommendation. At this time the Committee reported favorably on said ordinance. Thereafter the proposed ordinance was read in-full to the Board of City Commissioners as first introduced.
