Jerry's sub-ject will be appropriate to his clas-sification, "Variety Stores." * * * * * * * $10,000 FOR LIBRARY Last week's program was put on by Paul McDermott in behalf of the City Library building fund The member-ship voted to contribute $10,000 to the fund, being approximately $100 a member, between now and the end of President Leonard's term of office. The accomplishment, it is understood, will stand as something of a memorial to the good *wo*rk* o*f *Pr*es*i*d ent Leonard. FRIDAY AT BOULDER The meeting at Boulder City ap-pointed for several weeks ago, but postponed on account of illness, at which five Past Governors of this Dis-trict of Rotary International were to have been present, will now be held Friday next The meeting will be at noon at the Boulder Dam Hotel, and the Past District Governors will carry out a Rotary Program. * * * * * * * * MAJOR OPERATION Mrs. Myrtle Ronnow, Rotary Ann of former President Lorin, is in the Las Vegas Hospital, following a major op-eration We are informed that the lady is making good progress towards recovery. All Rotarians join in good wishes. DISTRICT GOVERNOR Thursday, November 10th, will be the occasion of the official visita-tion of our District Governor, Eck Heistand Club Assembly will be held at the usual place at 12:15. In the evening at 7:00 p.m., Governor and Mrs. Heistand will be entertained at dinner with the Rotar-ians and Rotary Anns of both the Boulder City and the Las Vegas Rctary Clubs present. Friday, Governor Heistand and party will visit Caliente. * * * * * * * * FOR BABY ROTARIANS Sully Sutherland, chairman of the Rotary Information Committee, held a dinner Tuesday evening, the main ob-ject cf which was to get acquainted with new members and, in turn, make them familiar with some of the prin-cipals cf Rotary.... The guests were newly chosen Rotarians, Leo Elkins, Ray Germain and Horace Caterer. Two other newly made Rotarians, Wayne Kirch and Jack Young, were out of the city and unable to attend. * * * * * * * * ORRIN STILL ILL Orrin Adcock, one of our older members, has been confined to the Las Vegas Hospital for the past week.
