    AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION STATE OF NEVADA) COUNTY OF CLARK) Dick Lochrie, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is foreman of the LAS VEGAS EVENING REVIEW-JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two weeks from July 28, 1948 to August 4th, 1948 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the fol­lowing dates, to-wit: July 28 - August 4. Cahlan Notary Public in and for Clark County, Nevada My Commission Expires January 12, 1951 —oooOOOOOOOooo— ORDINANCE No. 361 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; ORDERING A PLAT SHOWING SAID TERRITORY TO BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF THE COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO. WHEREAS, Las Vegas Union School District Board of Education, a body politic, of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, owner, with reversion to the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, of the pro­perty herein described, has duly petitioned the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas to annex said territory to said City; NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. All that certain territory in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, adjoining and contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Las Vegas, and being bounded and described as follows: From a point on the easterly boundary of Sunrise Park Tract No. 1 as recorded in Book 2 of Plats, Page 2 Clark County Records, said point lying N. 0°27'45" E. a distance of 750.00 feet from a certain concrete monument denoting the center line intersection of Sunrise Street and Second Street in said subdivision; thence N. 89°32'30" W. a dis­tance of 30.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence N. 0°27'45" E. a distance of 500.00 feet to a point; thence N. 89°32'00" W. a distance of 527.65 feet to a point, thence S. 2°22'15" W. a distance of 500.34 feet to a point, thence S. 89°32'30" E. a distance of 544.31 feet to the point of beginning, containing 6.1$ acres, more or less, together with the tenements, property and inhabitants thereof, is hereby declared to be annexed to and be a part of the City of Las Vegas and subject to all the taxes and laws thereof. Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Las Vegas is hereby ordered and directed to prepare a plat showing the territory hereby annexed to the City of Las Vegas and to cause said plat to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its publication, as in the next section provided, and final passage. Section 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this Ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption, in the Las Vegas Evening Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. /s/ E. Cragin________ ATTEST: Mayor /s/ Shirley Ballinger City Clerk The above and foregoing Ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of City Commissioners on the 22nd day of July, 1948, and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Clark and Whipple for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on the said Ordinance on the 6th day of August, 1948, which was the next regular meeting of said Board of City Commissioners; that at said regular meeting held on the 6th day of August, 1948, the proposed Ordinance was read in full to the Board of City Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Cragin Voting "Nay": None Absent: Commissioner Baskin
