1 i Lo b Angeles - June 8, 1954 174-2 Mr. A* D. Hanson: (cc - Mr. C. M. Cory Mr. V. W. Smith Mr. W. A. Jurden ) Referring to your letter of June 3rd relative to proposed change of point of diversion of 2.5 c.f.s of water from Well No. 1 to shop grounds at Las Vegas: You have copy of Mr. Cory's letter of June 1st, and we are arranging for transfer of this allocation to the present shop well with the intention of later transferring a portion of the allocation to the new shop well if and when completed. I would be glad to have you advise just what proportion of this allocation you desire transferred to the new shop well. As Mr. Cory indicates in his letter of June 1st, it would take some 60 days from the initial application of this transfer from the present shop well to the new well before we could commence drilling. It alfto would be necessary, of course, to have a survey by the^cSty Water Engineer indicating the definite location of the new shop well, and I suggest you authorize Mr. Maag to arrange for such a survey and map to accompany the application. v You might desire also to advise the Roscoe Moss Company of the anticipated delay in securing a permit for this transfer since it is quite possible their bid was made under the belief that they could use their present equipment, now being utilized in drilling the two new wells, on the new shop well, and that if it is to be delayed for 60 days or more, they might desire to change their bid. -Jg I [ § : I E.
