I t has come to our a tte n tio n that the r o o f o f the new r e s e r v o ir recently^com pleted at la s Yegas under Work Order 8248 a ffo rd s a very convenient playground fo r the hoys around Las Yegas. This is very d e trim e n ta l to the r o o fin g m aterials and I recommend that a fence he constructed around th is re s e rv o ir o f a type s im ila r to that around the Shop Grounds a t East Yard: Work Order 8248 does not provide fo r a fence to he constructed around th is r e s e r v o ir as i t was thought th at hy r o o fin g same, fence would he unnecessary; however, i t is now f e l t that fence is e s s e n tia l in .order to p ro te c t the ro o f fro'm damage caused hy these trespassers and a ls o to elim in ate p o s s ib ilit y o f personal in ju ry and subsequent claims against the Railroad Company. I f c o n sis te n t, would recommend that the lim its o f the above work order he extended to include the con struction o f th is fen ce, which w i l l cost approxim ately #1,000. We have an unexpended balance under th is Work Order o f approxim ately $10,000, so that there is s u ffic ie n t amount to handle th is work without over-expen ditu re. W ill you k in d ly advise?
