Cannon, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, You are each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Pro Tem Whipple, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commis­sioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th & Stewart, on the 16th day of December, 1949, at the hour of 4:30 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Treem______________ A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 16th day of December, 1949 was called to order at the hour of 4:30 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple with the following members present: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole; City Manager George O. Treem, City Attorney Howard W, Cannon and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger, Absent: Mayor Cragin, An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DETERMINATION OF THE BOARD OF COM­MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, TO MAKE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF US VEGAS BY GRADING FOR AND CONSTRUCTING OIL BOUND GRAVEL PAVEMENT AND CONCRETE CURBS AND GUTTERS, COMPLETE STREET LIGHTING AND SIDEWALKS WHENEVER NECESSARY ON CER­TAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN SAID CITY; PROVIDING THAT THE COST AND EX­PENSE THEREOF SHALL BE PAID ENTIRELY BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON ALL THE LOTS INCLUDED WITHIN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT HEREBY ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO THE BENEFITS; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Peccole was read In full to the Board for the first time. Commissioner Bunker moved that the above entitled Ordinance No, 397 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent* Mayor Cragin. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DETERMINATION OF THE BOARD OF COM­MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF US VEGAS, NEVADA, TO MAKE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY GRADING FOR AND CONSTRUCTING OIL BOUND GRAVEL PAVEMENTS ON CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTION OF STREETS IN SAID CITY; PROVIDING THAT THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF SHALL BE PAID ENTIRELY BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON ALL THE LOTS INCLUDED WITHIN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT HEREBY ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO THE BENEFITS; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Moore and Peccole was read in full to the Board for the first time. Commissioner Moore moved that the above entitled Ordinance No, 398 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Gragin, An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE DECURING THE DETERMINATION OF THE BOARD OF COM­MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, TO MAKE CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY INSTALLING A SANITARY SEWER IN THE SAID CITY; PROVIDING THAT THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF SHALL BE PAID ENTIRELY BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT UPON ALL THE LOTS INCLUDED WITHIN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT HEREBY ESTABLISHED ACCORDING TO THE BENEFITS; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Moore was read in full to the Board for the first time. Commissioner Moore moved that the above entitled Ordinance No, 399 be adopted.
