    46 Since this strip never has been used and is not necessary, we feel the exchange of this piece of land for a strip on Stewart to be used in widening Stewart Street would benefit all who travel that street. Bagnall Claim in the sum of $57,310.60 when his claim has been approved by the C. B. Bagnall comptroller and City Manager, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. TRANSCONTINENTAL At this time the City Manager presented a letter from the Transcontinental AND WESTERN AIR and Western Air Inc. requesting the Board of City Commissioners to pass a INC. resolution to petition the Civil Aeronautics Board to allow the TWA Re: Petition landing privileges in the City of Las Vegas. After some discussion Commissioner Baskin moved that the City Clerk be directed to contact the Chamber of Com­merce and ascertain whether they are in favor of the petition. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. BIDS -- Commissioner Baskin moved that the bid of the Community Chevrolet Chevrolet Car Company, 115 South Main Street, Las Vegas, Nevada for one four-door sedan 85 to 100 h,p. 114-117 inch wheel base in the sum of $1,333.75 be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. BOND ELECTION Commissioner Clark moved that the City Attorney be directed to prepare the questions to be placed on the bond election ballot as soon as possible. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes none. LIQUOR LICENSES Commissioner Clark moved that the application of Otha M. Allen for a Retail Restaurant Beverage license at Hannibal's Cafe, 1509 So. Main and the application of Ralph Stoughton for a Retail Tavern at the Nevada Biltmore Hotel together with cocktail lounge and cabaret be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. HARRY FARNOW-- Commissioner Clark moved that the application of Harry Farnow for one Gaming & Liquor "21" table and one Retail Tavern Liquor license at 121 Fremont Street be Applications denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
