    Las Vegas - April 14, 1950. Mr. A. B. Stoddard - Omaha. R / APR 17 190. (cc*Mr. Wm, Reinhardt Mr. W. H. Hulsiaer) Hare received the following confidential information from Mr. Spencer Butterfield, Secretary of the Board, Las Vegas Valley Water District. Mr. Howard P. Clark, formerly with Greeley and Hansen Engineering firm of Chicago, and who was also an Army Engineer for 27 years, has been selected as Water District Manager, effective May 1, 1950. Mr. Clark will report in Reno on this date to secure his license as Engineer in State of Nevada, He will then make detail study of water district. Mr. Butterfield states that it will probably be in the early spring or fall of 1951 before special election on water district bond issue will be held.
