I agree.L A S V E G A S , N E V A D A P H O N E R E g e n t 5 - 3 1 1 1 July 27, 1965 Mr. Karold Minsky c/o Manor Motel 24th Street & Surf Avenue North Tildwood, New Jersey Dear Marold: Xour letter of July 25th has been received and contents noted carefully. You ?will recall our last telephone conversation when 1 requested that you submit an alternate plan. They now wish to hire you as a show pro?ducer and would pay you a salary of $500 to $700 weekly and they would assume the cost of producing the show. The reason they want the cost of each act is to give them an idea what it would cost to pay all costs of the show and pay you a salary as the Dunes ??otel did when you were associated with them, however this is up to you. Please inform me as to what manpower is actually needed in the form of sound or lighting man, stage?hand and also how many musicians will be needed. Their original thought was to alocate X number of dollars for a complete package to cover a Minsky show which would include musicians, stage-hand and lighting man. Svidentally they do not have the knowledge or experience in puting on a show or knowing its requirements. Please advise as soon aspossible your approval of an alternate plan. 1 intend to be in touch with them this week and will emphasize to the Silver Slipper operator strongly that you are heavily booked for the bal?ance of this year^three various cities through the country and therefore time is of the essence. This may bring us to a show-down oontract, how?ever lam reluctant to say what there reception will be to a 12 week minimum contract. rill advise you of any new developments. Best regards Your friend Lew Friedman
