SWISS VILLAGE Thereafter, Commissioner Moore moved that the foregoing applications for renewal of gaming licenses for the fourth quarter be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Clark. , GAMING APPLICATION Commissioner Baskin moved that the application of Sam Stearns SAM STEARNS for one "21" Game at 113 North 1st Street for the fourth quarter be denied on the grounds that pursuant to the provisions of the existing resolution no new gambling establishments will be granted licenses except to large hotels. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Clark. There being no further business to come before the board at this time, Commissioner Moore moved that this meeting adjourn until 3:30 P.M. October 29, 1947. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Clark. To make an emergency loan. E. W. Cragin mayor NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: E. W. CRAGIN, Mayor and to C. R. CLARK, R. T. BASKIN, R. T. MOORE, REED WHIPPLE, Commissioners and J.M. MURPHY, City Manager of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada will be held in the office of the Mayor, at the War Memorial Building, on Monday, October 27, 1947 at the hour of 10:00 a.m. to act upon the following business: 1.
