\ Dear Sir: I attach copy of notice of a public hearing to be held by the Public Service Commission of Nevada at Las Vegas on June 17th with regard to complaint filed by Jake Beckley regarding refusal of the later Company to furnish him water in Block ”H" of the Park Addition. Las Vegas last week and we thoroughly discussed this. Our company has no water mains south of Charleston Boulevard, and the consumers in that district are served by a separate water company, the Boulder Dam Syndicate. It is not reasonable to require us to lay 500 or 600 feet of new mains in order to serve one customer, especially in view of the fact that we have our hands full adequately supplying the consumers we already have on our mains, during the hot summer months. I enclose newspaper clippings in which we have appealed to the people to avoid waste and help conserve the city supply of water. but it was thought best to hold a public hearing in order to fully satisfy Mr. Beckley.
