H. .Knickerbocker: Please "be referred to your le t t e r September 13, f i l e 9215-355, requesting recommendation relative to cleaning artesian w ell located near the springs at Las Vegas, Hev: It is quite lik e ly that the decrease in flow from this w ell is at least p a rtia lly caused hy sand, and I concur in recommendations made hy Dr. Boyle and Mr. Bracken that we blow the w ell in an endeavor to relieve sand pressure and thereby increase the flow. The entire cost o f this work, estimated at approximately $1,000.00 would be charged to Operating Expenses, and i f we were successful in increasing the artesian flow, this expenditure would, in my opinion, be 3 astified.
