578 (SEAL) Attest: Shirley Ballinger City Clerk M12, 19, 26; A2, 9 It was then moved by Commissioner Whipple and seconded by Commissioner Bunker that all rules of this Board which might prevent, unless suspended, the final passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution at this meeting be and the sane are hereby suspended for the purpose of permitting the final passage and adoption of said resolution at this meeting. The question being upon the adoption of said motion and the suspension of the rules, the roll was called with following result: Those voting aye: Commissioner Bunker Commissioner Peccole Commissioner Whipple Mayor Cragin Those voting nay: None. Absent: Commissioner Moore All members of the Board of Commissioners having voted in favor of said motion, the Mayor declared said motion carried and the rules suspended. Commissioner Whipple then moved that said resolution be now placed upon its final passage and adopted. The question being upon the passage and adoption of said resolution, the roll was called with the following result: Those voting aye: Commissioner Bunker Commissioner Peccole Commissioner Whipple Mayor Cragin Those voting nay: None Absent: Commissioner Moore The Mayor thereupon declared that all the Commissioners present having voted in favor thereof, said resolution duly passed and adopted. ———oOo——— RESOLUTION 226 On motion of Commissioner Moore, duly seconded by Commissioner Bunker, and carried unanimously, the following resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 14th day of March, 1951, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 8th day of March, 1951, executed by Stanley L. and Nola Hardy to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. Commissioner Peccole introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution, which was thereupon read RESOLUTION 227 WHEREAS, due and legal notice has been given and published that the Board of Com­missioners of the City of Lae Vegas proposes to sell and invite proposals for the purchase of $225,463.75 of its Assessment District No. 100-2 Street Improvement Bonds, Series of January 1, 1951) end WHEREAS, said bids have been opened on the 11th day of April, 1951# in accordance with said notice; end WHEREAS, it appears that the bid of THE SECURITY NATIONAL BANK OF RENO, and associates, is the highest and beat bid for said bonds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: That the bid and offer of said SECURITY NATIONAL BANK OF RENO and its associates, whereby said bidders agreed to purchase said bonds, hearing interest at a rate of Three and 40/100th per centum (3.40%) per annum, for the principal amount thereof, accrued interest to the date of delivery, and a premium of $(None) is the highest and best bid submitted for said issue of bonds and the same should be, and hereby la, accepted, and said bonds are awarded to the said SECURITY NATIONAL BANK OF RENO and its associates. It was then moved by Commissioner Peccole and seconded by Commissioner Bunker that all rules of this Board which might prevent, unless suspended, the final passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution at this meeting be and the same are hereby suspended for the purpose of permitting the final passage and adoption of said resolution at this meeting. The question being upon the adoption of said motion and the suspension of the rules, the roll was called with the following result: Those voting aye: Commissioner Bunker Commissioner Peccole Commissioner Whipple Mayor Cragin Absent: Commissioner Moore Those voting nay: None All members of the Board of Commissioners having voted in favor of said motion, the Mayor declared said motion carried and the rules suspended.
