    The presiding officer declared the motion carried and the ordinance placed upon its final passage. Commissioner Whipple then moved that said ordinance be passed and adopted as read and as an emergency ordinance. Commissioner Sharp seconded the motion. The question being upon the passage and adoption of said ordinance the roll was called with the following result: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The presiding officer thereupon declared that all Commissioners having voted in favor there­of, said motion was carried and said ordinance duly passed and adopted as an emergency ordinance. Commissioner Whipple moved that said emergency ordinance be numbered 640. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker; Jarrett; Sharp; Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noeS; none. Commissioner Sharp introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution which was thereupon read in full; and at length; and is as follows: WHEREAS, due and legal notice has been given and published that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas proposes to sell and invites proposals for the purchase of $62,533.28, of its Assessment District No. 100-25 Street Improvement Bonds, Series of April 1, 1955, and WHEREAS; said bids have been opened on the 6th day of April; 1955, in accordance with said notice; and WHEREAS; it appears that the bid of State of Nevada; State Board of Investments; and associates; is the highest and best bid for said bonds; NOW; THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: That the bid and offer of said State of Nevada; State Board of Investments; and its associates; whereby said bidders agreed to purchase said bonds; bearing interest at a rate of Three and One Fourth per centum (3-1/4%) per annum; for the principal amount thereof; accrued interest to the date of delivery; is the highest and best bid submitted for said issue of bonds and the same should be, and hereby is accepted, and said bonds are awarded to the said State of Nevada, State Board of Investments and its associates. It was then moved by Commissioner Sharp and seconded by Commissioner Whipple that all rules of this Board which might prevent; unless suspended; the final passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution at this meeting be and the same are hereby suspended for the purpose of permitting the final passage and adoption of said resolution at this meeting. The question being upon the adoption of said motion and the suspension of the rules; the roll was called with the following result: Commissioners Bunker; Jarrett; Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noeS; none. All members of the Board of Commissioners having voted in favor of said motion; the Mayor declared said motion carried and the rules suspended. Commissioner Sharp then moved that said resolution be now placed upon its final passage and adopted. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Whipple. The question being upon the passage and adoption of said resolution; the roll was called with the following result: Commissioners Bunker; Jarrett; Sharp; Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The Mayor thereupon declared that all the Commissioners present having voted in favor thereof; said motion was carried and the said resolution duly passed and adopted. Commissioner Sharp introduced and moved the adoption of the following emergency ordinance; which was thereupon read in full; and at length; and is as follows: AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RATIFYING; APPROVING AND CONFIRMING ACTION DIRECTED TOWARD THE IMPROVE­MENT OF CERTAIN STREETS AND PARTS THEREOF; THE CREATION OF STREET IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-25, AND THE ISSUANCE OF IMPROVEMENT BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SAID BONDS; PRESCRIBING DETAILS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 615; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-25 Resolution Award of Bond Bid ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-25 Emergency Ord. 641 Adopted WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, in the County of Clark and State of Nevada, on the 6th day of April, 1955, did publicly sell its Assessment District No. 100-25 Street Improvement Bonds, Series of April 1, 1955, in the aggregate principal amount of $62,533.28 in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, and City of Las Vegas; and WHEREAS, said Board desires to authorize and direct the issuance of said bonds. NOW; THEREFORE; THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That all action, proceedings, matters and things (not inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance) heretofore taken, had and done by the City of Las Vegas and the officers of said City concerning the improvement of certain streets, and parts thereof, in Street Improvement Assessment District No. 100-25 in said City, the creation of said District within and for said City, the levying and perfecting of special assessments to meet the cost and expense thereof, and the issuance of its Assessment District No. 100-25 Improvement Bonds, Series of April 1, 1955, for that purpose, be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the confirmation, adoption and approval of the assessment roll for said District, and the public sale of said bonds to State Board of Investments, State of Nevada. 4-6-55
