BRACKEN, VICE-PRES. & AGT., LAS VEGAS, NEV. LAS VEGAS. NEV. Las Vegas, Nevada, June 18, 1919. Mr. J. Ross Clark, President, Las Vegas Land and Water Co., Los Angeles, Cal. Dear Sir: Acknowledging receipt of your letter under date of Jun 16th and referring to our conversation regarding the same subject when you were passing thru here yesterday in reference to the sale of Lot Seven in Block Five. I beg to advise that Miss Hickey’s statement to the effect thatr-! trad nfferedr^this^lot-for #2&0.00 is wrong. Miss Hickey, in trying to put over some smart deal, sent Mr. Waite here asking concerning the lot, and as Mr. Waite owns property abutting into this lot he stated to me that he wanted the same for a chicken house and pen, and could not pay $300.00. During the course of our conversation I told him to put up in writing the fact that he would pay $250.00 cash for this lot and I would submit his offer and approve same. Later on in the evening Miss Hickey inquired the price of the lot of me and as per our schedule fixed by the Board, I told her it was $300.00. She at that time said she had sent this man here and that I had offerred it for $250.00, but this was not a fact, and in this connection I would say that if a poor person was wanting to buy the same fot their own personal use, I would approve a price of $250.00, but in the case of one buying it for speculation as Miss Hickey is doing, I would most certainly not approve of any sale other than at our list price of $300.00. __ Hoping this explains the matter satisfactorily, I am Yours t.rnl v NUTT, LOS ANGELES.
