    Gila Monster Notice We the undersigned do hereby locate and claim fifteen hundred feet for mining purposes on this lead lode or ledge or deposit of silver bearing rock & ore to be known and described as follows. The Gila Monster Mine or lode commencing at the monument upon which this notice is placed and running in a westerly direction five hundred (500) feet and also in an easterly direction from same monument one thousand (1000) feet to a monument of stone [not legible] and along said lead lode or ledge or deposit of silver bearing rock and ore - and including three hundred feet on each side thereof for mining and working purposes. We claim and intend to hold and work said claim and mining ground in accordance with the mining laws of the United States approved May 10th 1872 and in accordance with the mining laws of El Dorado Mining District, Lincoln County - State of Nevada. Said mine is situated about one half mile south of the January Mine south boundary line. Located June 11th A.D. 1880. Locaters H. Gottfredson H.
