    ASSESSMENT DISTRICT No. 100-27 VARIANCE APPLICATION Gerald A. Nelson VARIANCE APPLICATION John & Bonnie Fox V-28-54 Approved VARIANCE APPLICATION Ola H. Gamer v-30-54 Denied Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved that this matter be held in abeyance until May 10, 1954. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Commissioner Bunker moved to hold the award of the bid for construction of improvements on Assessment District No. 100-27 in abeyance until May 10, 1954. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. The application of Gerald A. Nelson for variance to construct a duplex within 15 feet of the front property line and within 7 feet of the side property line facing Bonneville and within 10 feet of the garage, in addition to a single family residence which exists on the property located on the NE comer of Bonneville and 4th Street, as recommended by the Board of Adjustments, provided that adequate off street parking is provided, was considered at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the recommendation of the Board of Adjustments be accepted with the stipulation that adequate off street parking be provided and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 3th day of May, 1954, having considered the application of Gerald A. Nelson for a variance to construct a duplex within 13 feet of the front property line and within 7 feet of the side property line facing Bonneville and within 10 feet of the garage, in addition to a single family residence which exists on the property located on the NE comer of Bonneville and 4th Street; and The Board having considered the decision of the Board of Adjustment recommending approval of this application provided that adequate off street parking be approved, and The applicant, Gerald A. Nelson, having provided adequate off street parking at this time. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of the Board that the application of Gerald A. Nelson, V-27-54 as approved by the Board of Adjustment, be and the same is hereby granted, and the Inspection Departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. The application of John and Bonnie Fox for variance to construct a beth and utility room in connection with a single family residence within 5 feet 6 inches of the existing garage on Lot 15, Block 1, Grandview Addition, was considered by the Board at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment be accepted and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting on the 5th day of May, 1954, having considered the ap­plication of John and Bonnie Fox for a variance to construct a bath and utility room in connection with a single family residence within 3 feet 6 inches of the existing garage on Lot 13, Block 1, Grandview Addition; and The Board having considered the decision of the Board of Adjustments recommending approval of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of the Board of Commissioners that the application of John and Bonnie Fox, V-28-54, as approved by the Board of Adjustments, be and the same is hereby granted and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. The application of Ola H. Gamer for a variance to maintain a barbecue pit and stand at 1417 "H" Street, as recommended by the Board of Adjust­ments, was considered by the Board at this time. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the recommendation of the Board of Adjustments be accepted and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas in a regular meeting held the 5th day of May, 1954, having considered the application of Ola H. Gamer for a variance to maintain a barbecue pit and stand at 1417 "H" Street; and The Board having considered the decision of the Board of Adjustments recommending denial of this application. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of the Board of Commissioners that the application of Ola H. Gamer, V-30-54, as denied by the Board of Adjustments, be and the same is hereby denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. 5-5-54
