Los Angeles - December 6, 19^7 Mr. R. L. Adamson: Ralph W. O'Neill, of the firm of O'Neill & Preston, Consulting Engineers, South Brand Blvd., Glendale, Calif., has been suggested as an experienced hydraulic and sanitary engineer who would be capable of making a survey, analysis and report upon water pollution, both subsurface and surface, created by the activities of the oil companies in this general area, and if such pollution is found, to suggest remedies for correction of same, and perhaps represent the oil companies in the matter of bringing about corrective legislation. This is an activity of quite wide scope and requires a sanitary engineer of experience and judgment, with no doubt continual cooperation in the matter of laboratory analyses. Wish you would make some inquiries as to Ralph O'Neill, also any others with whom you may be acquainted and whom you consider capable in this respect. Frank Strong
