Los Angeles, January 28,1949 20-334-1 Mr. A. M. Folger: ( cc Mr. Wm. Reinhardt ) Referring to your le tte r o f January 10th f i l e W 18-6-2 requesting statement showing production and consumption of water at Las Vegas, Nev. during year 1948 for use in compiling the annual report to Hevada Public Service Commission; I am attaching two statements, one showing tota l production and consumption by months for the year and the other statement showing gallons o f water sold and used at Las Vegas during the year. The records we receive currently from our Water Service forces at Las Vegas showing production o f water are not always accurate and in some months the records show more water consumed than produced. This Is due to the fact that some meters are out o f order and due to Inaccuracy o f measurements o f water going over the weirs, and have found it necessary in the months where the consumption exceeded the production to a rb itra rily increase the production to equal to ta l o f consumption. Regarding changes made in the number of feet o f transmission o f mains in Railroad accounts west o f the tracks at Las Vegas during the year 1948. The only work performed in this connection during 1948 was covered by our Work Order 3180. This work order was reported complete on June 30, 1947, but was later reinstated and was fin a lly complete June 21, 1948 to include charges fo r 12" pressure reducing valve. Attached is copy o f sheet 3 o f our close out report to the Auditor giving the description o f physical changes under this work order. C: B
