Commissioner Bates moved that the foregoing be approved on its first reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. CONDEMNATION BONDS Commissioner Bates moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign bonds in District Court Cases Nos. 34352 & 34386. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. POLICE STATION Commissioner Bates moved that the payment of $47,366.81 to C. B. Bagnall, Payment to C. B. Contractor on the Police Station be approved and paid to Mr. Bagnall Bagnall when everything is satisfactory to the City Manager and Comptroller, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign said warrant. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. YOUTHTOWN Commissioner Bates moved that the City furnish Youthtown with the following information: A. Description of the Property comprising the Youthtown Lease. B. Topography or Contour map of the ground comprising the Youth- town Lease. C. Survey to locate existing structures, streets, facilities, and ground forms relating thereto. POLICE DEPARTMENT Motorcycle Purchase Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow- ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. U. S. O. - Furnish- Commissioner Bates moved that the Board approve the action of the ings purchased City Manager in the purchase of furnishings in the Westside U.S.O. and that a Warrant be issued in the sum of $1,433.00 and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. SKIP LOADER -- Commissioner Bates moved the bid of Clark County Wholesale for a Bid Accepted Skip Loader in the sum of $4,484.00 be accepted and approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. AGREEMENT — Lease Commissioner Bates moved that proposed agreement for advertising with Nevada Outdoor space dated as of January 1, 1947 between the Nevada Outdoor Advertising Advertising Co. and City of Las Vegas be referred to the City Attorney for study. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. CIVIL SERVICE Commissioner Bates moved that the proposal from the Police Department Proposal and the Fire Department relative to the enactment of Civil Service Acts by legislature at this session, which having been submitted to the Board for their approval and recommendation, be referred back to respective departments for further study as it is felt that the time is too short now to have them acted upon at this session of legislature. It is suggested that they be put in satisfactory shape for enactment at the next session of legislature. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. APPRAISER APPOINTED Commissioner Bates moved that Mr. Jim McMichael be appointed as ap- praiser for the condemnation of the following described property: On that certain property as set forth in the complaint No. 33398 filed in the 8th Judicial District Court, in and for the County of Clark, State of Nevada. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark. LEGISLATIVE CHARTER Commissioner Bates moved that the City Clerk be directed to forward CHANGES the proposed Charter Changes which were discussed at this meeting to Senator Baker and Assemblyman Higgins at Carson City, for introduc­tion at this session of Legislature. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Bates, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Baskin and Clark.
