NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: C.D. BAKER, Mayor and to WENDELL BUNKER, E.W. FOUNTAIN, HARRIS P. SHARP, REED WHIPPLE, Commissioners and A.H. KENNEDY, City Manager, R.F. BOOS, Administrative Assistant, and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Baker, a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Mayor's Office of the City Hall, 5th and Stewart, on the 25th day of June, 1957; at the hour of 4:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Opening of Bids: Bid No. 57.21 Two small trucks Bid # 57.22 Two dump trucks Bid No. 57.23 Four ton pickups Bid No. 57.24 Three Motorcycles Bid No. 57.25 One station wagon or one four-door sedan or both Bid No. 57.26 Walk in delivery van ( Paddy Wagon ) Bid No. 57.27 One tanker truck Bid No. 57.28 Four coupes 2. Discussion of freeway with representatives of North Las Vegas and County. 3. Public Officials Bond - Approval. Commissioner Wendell Bunker. s/ Golda S. Allen City Clerk Deputy ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager, Administrative Assistant and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas do hereby admit due service of the foregoing notice of special meeting. s/ C.D. FOUNTAIN Las Vegas, Nevada June 25, 1957 (CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING) A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada held this 25th day of June, 1957 was called to order at the hour of 4:00 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Baker with the following members present: Mayor C.D. Baker Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner Harris P. Sharp City Manager A.H. Kennedy Adm. Assistant Robert F. Boos Field Engineer Kenneth Hanson Works Engineer Victor B. Uehling Deputy City Clerk Golda S. Allen Absent: Commissioner E.W. Fountain Commissioner Reed Whipple City Attorney Howard W. Cannon City Clerk Shirley Lodwick This being the time heretofore set for the opening of Bid No. 57.21 for fur­nishing two small trucks to the City of Las Vegas, bids were received from the following firms: Community Chevrolet $4870.44 Clark County Wholesale 4936.00 Gaudin Motor Company 5237.66 Cashman CMC Truck Co. 5495.00 Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager and Engineering Dept, for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioners Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Fountain and Whipple. This being the time heretofore set for the opening of Bid No. 57*22 for the furnishing two dump trucks to the City of Las Vegas, bids were received from the following firms: Gaudin Motor Company $12,092.50 Alternate 12,492.50 Community Chevrolet 12,457.18 Alternate 12,829.58 Cashman CMC Truck Co. 12,509.68 Alternate 13,719.68 Clark County Wholesale 12,790.00 Alternate 13,590.00 Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager and Engineering Dept, for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes,none. Absent: Com­missioners Fountain and Whipple.
