EMERGENCY SENATE MEETING OCTOBER 8, 1975 I. The Emergency Senate Meeting was called to order at 5:15 by Eugene Belin. II. Roll Call was taken III. No Approval of Minutes Motion by Rosalynn Ramey to appropriate $H,000 from Activities to conduct a concert on October 20 with Batdorf and Rodney with James Lee Stanley. Seconded by Gerone Free Discussion Motion carries unanimously Motion by Rick Gutierrez to appropriate $75 in Matching Funds to Kappa Alpha Psi for a Homecoming Float contingent upon the acceptance and approval of the Organizations Committee Seconded by Joe Warpinski Motion by Ray Carrillo to amend the motion to be $100 Seconded by Joe Warpinski The Chair ruled, in the spirit of Homecoming, to consider the motion Discussion Motion by Joe Karaffa to table the motion Seconded by Cliff Ferris Discussion Roll Call Vote r equested by Bill VanAnda Further Discussion Roll Call Vote: Motion fails Vote on the Amendment: Amendment passes, 2 abstentions Discussion is now on the Motion as emended contingent upon the acceptance and approval of the Organizations Committee Amendment by Joe Karaffa that the motion read that any CSUN Recognized Organization specifically requesting money for a Homecoming Float shall receive up to $100 in Matching Funds contingent upon the acceptance and approval of the Organizations Committee. Seconded by Rosalynn Ramey Discussion Vote is now on the Amendment: Amendment passes, 2 abstentions Voting is now on the Main Motion as amended Motion passes unanimously Motion by Joe Karaffa to approve all the people on the list (attached) to the University Committees.
