Gannon Discussion was held with the County Commissioners on the location and the proposed new road to the City-County Dump. Commissioner Bunker arrived at this time. AGREEMENT WITH NORTH Commissioner Jarrett moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a twenty LAS VEGAS year contract with the City of North Las Vegas for the joint use of sewer facilities Connection to Sewer of the two cities. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. ADVANCE PAYMENT - Commissioner Peccole moved the request of J.M Murphy Construction Co. for advance pay- Assessment District ment on Assessment District No. 100-6 in the total amount of $15,000.00 be approved No. 100-6 and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign the warrant when prepared. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commission­ers Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. There being no further business to come before this special meeting, the meeting adjourned. ATTEST: APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor Pro Tem Las Vegas, Nevada April 29, 1952 A recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, was held on Tuesday, the 29th day of April, 1952, at the hour of 4:20 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall being the regular meeting place of said Board, at which meeting there were present and answering the roll call the following: Mayor Pro Tem Reed Whipple Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner Rex A. Jarrett Commissioner William Peccole Absent: Mayor C.D. Baker constituting all of the members of said Board. There were also present the following: City Manager C.W. Shelley City Clerk Shirley Ballinger City Engineer C.C. Boyer Absent City Attorney Howard W. Cannon Thereupon, the following proceedings, among others were duly had and taken. ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS Commissioner Bunker moved the plans and diagrams on Assessment Districts Nos. 100-16 NOS. 100-16 & 100-17 and 100-17 be accepted and ordered filed. Plans & Diagrams Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. LOCKSMITH APPLICATION Commissioner Jarrett moved the application of Harry Randall Rogers for a locksmith license, having been recommended by the Police Department, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. HUFF & HARDY SUBDIVISION Commissioner Peccole moved the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission on the Tentative Map tentative map of the Huff and Hardy Subdivision be accepted and this map approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. ORDINANCE NO. 486 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 33 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE BY Taxi Meters PROVIDING FOR THE ADDITION OF NEW SECTIONS REQUIRING THE INSTALLATION OF TAXIMETERS AND BY PROVIDING RATES OF FARE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON­FLICT HEREWITH, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Peccole was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 486 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker.
