BUILDING INSPECTOR Commissioner Peccole moved that pursuant to the recommendation of the City Manager, that Appointment Harry E. Hatfield be appointed Building Inspector effective immediately. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Albert Goot, Park Market, 424 North 5th Street Park Market - Denied for a Retail Package Liquor license for the fourth quarter of 1950 be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATION Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Vegas Enterprises Co., Shamrock Hotel, 600 North Main for license for two additional slot machines for the fourth quarter of 1950 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Commissioners Bunker and Peccole, committee for report on the proposed ordinance concern- Wholesale Liquor ing the regulation and issuance of licenses for wholesale liquor distributors, reported unfavorably. Commissioner Moore moved the report of the committee on this proposed ordinance be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 203 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS NO. 447 AS AMENDED, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DISTRIBUTION AND CONTROL OF INTOXICA- Limiting Liquor TING AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS AND BEVERAGES; REGULATING PLACES WHERE AND UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS Licenses SAID,INTOXICATING AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS AND BEVERAGES MAY BE KEPT, SOLD, AND GIVEN AWAY OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTED, PROVIDING FOR PERMITS AND LICENSES; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE." ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 16 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, was re­ported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Whipple with the suggested amendment that the proposed amendment on the regulation and issuance of licenses for wholesale liquor distributors be incorporated in this ordinance. Thereafter the above entitled ordinance was read in full as amended. Commissioner Bunker moved this Ordinance No. 447 be adopted as amended. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. MOUNTAIN VIEW At this time Mr. Killingsworth of the Mountain View Subdivision appeared before the Board SUBDIVISION requesting that he be relieved of the requirement to install curbs and gutters in this sub­division. After considerable discussion Commissioner Blanker moved the former action approving the final map of Mountain View Subdivision taken oh December 6, 1950 be rescinded. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Moore. Commissioner Peccole moved the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission pursuant to their letter of December 6, 1950 concerning the approval of the final map of Mountain View Subdivision dispensing with the requirement of curbs and gutters be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Moore. YMCA - Request to Commissioner Peccole moved the request of the YMCA to sell Christmas Trees on the comer Sell Christmas Trees of 3rd and Fremont he referred to the City Manager. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ZONE VARIANCE - Commissioner Moore moved that pursuant to the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commis- Dr. Darryl Leavitt sion dated December 12, 1950, the request of Dr. Darryl Leavitt for zone variance permitting the establishment of a dentist's office at 1225 South 8th Street, be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SUBDIVISIONS - Action on the final map of Southridge Subdivision, Tract No. 2 was tabled until December Southridge Tract #2 20, 1950. EL Centro, Tract #2 Commissioner Moore moved that pursuant to the recommendation of the Regional Planning Corn- Final Map & mission contained in their letter of December 6, 1950, the final map on El Centro, Tract No.. 2 be approved subject to the same conditions set forth on Tract No. 1. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PROPOSED ORDINANCE - An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 446 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO Regional Planning AMEND SECTIONS 1 AND7:2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 360 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED: "AN ORDIN- Commission ANCE ESTABLISHING A REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION 2ND AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, TO COLLA BORATE WITH THE GOVERNING BODIES OF INCORPORATED CITIES IN CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, FOR THE CREATION OF A REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION." ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 24, SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, AND TO REPEAL SECTIONS 3 AND 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 360 ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 24, SECTIONS 3 AND 4 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE.", was read by title and referred to Commissioners Moore and Whipple for recommendation.
