COUNTY OF CLARK) Dick Lochrie, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the Las Vegas Evening Review-Journal, a daily newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of 2 times from September 25, 1945 to Oct 2, 1945 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates to-wit: September 25, October 2, 1945. That said newspaper was regularly issued and cir­culated on each of the dates above named. Signed: Dick Lochrie Subscribed and sworn to before me this day of October 2, 1945. _______/s/ A. E. ORDINANCE NO. 308 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION, PROVIDING OFFICERS THEREFORE AND DEFINING THEIR POWERS AND DUTIES, AND PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS FOR FIRE PREVENT- TION AND LIFE SAFETY IN CONNECTION WITH HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND PROCESSES: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the Office of the City Clerk, of the City of Las Vegas, being marked and designated as Suggested Fire Prevention Ordinance, addition of 1943, recommended and published by the Nation Board of Fire Underwriters, be, and the same is hereby referred to and adopted as the Fire Prevention Ordinance of the City of Las Vegas, and by said reference and adoption, made a part of this ordinance, the same as if it was fully set forth herein. SECTION TWO: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, but is is specifically provided that neither this ordinance or any repeal hereby provided shall in any way effect in any way the prosecution for the violation of any ordinance heretofore passed, pending a t the time of the adoption of this ordinance. SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, adoption and pub­lication for two successive issues in the Las Vegas Morning Tribune a daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Las Vegas, SECTION FOUR: The City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas is hereby authorized and directed to have this city ordinance published in the Las Vegas Morning Tribune, a daily newspaper printed and pub­lished in the City of Las Vegas, Clark, County, Nevada, for a period of two (2) weeks, and that is to say, one each week for a period of two (2) weeks. /s/ E. Cragin_________ Mayor ATTEST: /s/ Helen Scott Reed_____ City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas on the 7th day of September, 1945 and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Bates and Clark for recommendation; that after the said committee reported favorably on the said ordinance on the 22nd day of September, 1945 which was the next regular meeting on the 22nd of September, 1945, the said proposed ordin­ance was read aloud in full and adopted as first introduced this 22nd day of September, A.D. 1945 by the following vote: Voting Aye: Commissioners Baskin, Ba tes, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor, Mayor Cragin. Voting Nay: None Absent : None This ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners on the 7th day of September, 1945, and referred to the following committee for consideration, namely to-wit: Commissioners Bates and Clark; that thereafter and on the 22nd day or September, 1945, which was the next regular meeting of the Board of said City Commissioners the said committee reported favorably on the said ordinance, that at said regular meeting this ordinance was read in full to the Board of City Commissioners for the first time at a regular meeting of the said board and adopted as first introduced by the unanimous vote of said board and that after publishing in the Las Vegas Morning Tribune, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, Nevada for a period of once a week for two (2) weeks immediately following its first reading; and it was thereafter read aloud to the said board for a second time at a regular meeting of the said board held on the 5th day of October, 1945 and passed by the following vote: Voting aye: Commissioners Baskin, Corradetti, Clark and His Honor, Mayor Cragin Voting Nay: None Absent : Commissioner Bates /s/ E.
