Thereafter Commissioner Moore moved the foregoing liquor applications for the 1st quarter of 1950 be allowed when the Police Department has made a report to the Board of their investigation. Further that these places of business may be allowed to operate while this investigation is being conducted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of R. D. Bingham and Eldon Jones, Modem Market, 121 North 5th for a Retail Liquor Package license for the 1st quarter of 1950 be approved, not to include the consumption of beer on the premises. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple-and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Moore moved the application of August Messelod, Westside Tavern, 206 Wilson for a Retail-Tavern Liquor license for the 1st quarter of 1950 be approved providing Mr. Messelod obtains a zone variance for this type of business. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that all renewals of Retail Package liquor licenses, minatures or otherwise, issued to grocery stores, carry the restriction that no beer can be consumed on the premises. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Blinker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Moore. At this time the Board considered the request of Mr. Raymond Salmon to transfer the Boulder liquor Store from 115-115½ South 1st to 511 E. Charleston Boulevard. Commissioner Moore moved this request be allowed. There was no second to this motion. Thereafter Commissioner Moore withdrew his motion. Mr. Milton Keefer, representing Mr. Salmon, asked that this request for transfer be withdrawn.
