    346 PAWNSHOP LICENSES Commissioner Clark moved that the following applications for renewal of pawnshop licenses be approved: Louis Mack Mack Jewelry 118 North 1st Glen S. Tondevold Square Deal Loan 109 South 1st Max Goot Stoney's Jewelry & Loan 128 South 1st Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. DETECTIVE AGENCY Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of James O'Kane, 19 Fremont for a detec­tive agency be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LOCKSMITH APPLICATIONS Commissioner Moore moved that the application of Benj. A. Cohen, 8l6 Ogden for renewal of his locksmith licenses be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS At this time the following applications for renewal of liquor licenses for the first 1st Qtr. - Renewals quarter of 1949 were presented to the Board for their consideration: Sam Lafer B & H Grocery 402 W. Bonanza Retail Beverage Roy J. Riller Belverdere Gardens 712 Harrison Ret. Rest. Beverage George A. King American Legion Post#8 2200 South 5th Retail Club Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing renewals of liquor licenses be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS Commissioner Moore moved that the application of Robert Kost, Kost Mobile Service, 224 1st Qtr. - New North Main for one slot machine for the first quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS At this time the following applications for renewal of gaming licenses for the first 1st Qtr. - Renewals quarter of 1949 were presented to the Board for their consideration: George Tsouras Las Vegas Barbecue Sam Taylor Pioneer Newsstand Sam Taylor Log Cabin Bar Hughie Roach Shamrock Cafe C. Johnson Chevron Gas Station Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing gaming applications, renewal for the first quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS Commissioner Moore moved that the application of M. H. Gordon, Mike's Liquor Store, 106 1st Qtr.-Additionals Fremont for 3 additional slot machines and Uvalde Caperton, Cotton Club, 500 Jackson for an additional poker game be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. BUS APPLICATIONS Commissioner Clark moved that the application of Tanner Motor Tours, Stephen C. Speck for ten buses be approved. V Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. TAXI APPLICATION Commissioner Baskin moved that the application of Tanner Motor Tours, Greyline Cab, for one additional taxi license be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ESQUIRE BAR — Commissioner Moore moved that the application of Charles W. Hancock, Esquire Bar, 120 Liquor Application South 2nd Street for a retail tavern liquor license, be held in abeyance pending the investigation report of the police department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
