313 GAMING APPLICATIONS Commissioner Moore moved that the applications of Winfred T* Wedding and Clifford A. Linn 4th Qr. - New for one slot machine at the Perfection Delicatessen at 510 South 5th Street and one slot machine at Katie's Kandy Store, 124 North 4th Street for the fourth quarter of 1948 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Clark. GAMING APPLICATION Commissioner Moore moved that the application of Stanley Gersh, Play the Races, 18 Fremont for Stanley Gersh a Play the Races (50 chairs) for the fourth quarter of 1948 be denied on the grounds of the Denied Gaming license Resolution adopted by the board on June 28, 1946 Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Moore moved that the application of Floyd Hixenbaugh, Mike's 5th Street Market, change of Owner 63O South 5th Street for a Retail Beverage license for the fourth quarter of 1948, formerly Retail Beverage held by Barney Zigtema, Barney's 5th Street Market, same address, be granted. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner Baskin moved that the applications of Dave Simon, Simon Bar-B-Q, 415 Jackson 4th Qr. - New and Frank Kernan, Shamrock Cafe, 1501 South 5th Street for Retail Restaurant Beverage licenses Retail Rest. Absent: Commissioner Clark. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Baskin moved that the application of L. Wayne Stewart and Cecil Lavelle Lynch, Change of Owner Western Liquor Store, 511 E. Charleston having been referred to the Police Department for Retail Beverage investigation at the meeting of the Board held October 7, 1948, for a retail package liquor license for the fourth quarter of 1948 be granted. The foregoing Retail Package liquor license was formerly held by the First National Bank, Executors of the Estate of Ethel Rappoport, Ethel's Family Liquor Store No. 2 4ll Fremont. Said licenses are to be issued in the names of Carl F. Amante, James Sills, Louis Wiener, Mahlon Brown, Bill Dennett, Marie King, and Jack Stone. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL TO mAKE FALSE, MISLEADING False Report to OR UNFOUNDED REPORTS TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; PROVIDING THE PENALTY Police Department FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND OTHER MATTE'S PROPERLY RELATING THERETO, was read by title to the Board and referred No Commissioners Baskin and Whipple for report. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DEFRAUDING OF AN INNKEEPER AND OTHER PERSONS Defrauding Innkeepers TO PE A CRIME; PROVIDING FOR THE PUNISHMENT OF VIOLATIONS THEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read by title to the Board and referred to Commissioners Moore and Whipple for report. NOTICE OF HEARING - Commissioner Baskin moved that the city clerk be directed to publish the following notice Amendment to for one publication in the Las Vegas Evening Review Journal, setting November 5, 1948 at 2:00 P.M. Master Plan as the time for hearing on amendments to the Master Plan of the City of Las Vegas. NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas is in receipt of a certified copy of amendments to the Master Plan of the City of Las Vegas adopted by the Regional Planning Commission by resolution at its meeting held on the 11th day of October, 1948, and that the Board of Commissioners of said City will hold a public hearing on said amendments to the Master Plan at a meeting to be held on the $th day of November, 1948 at 2:00 P.M. of that date in the Council Chambers in the War Memorial Building, on Stewart Avenue at the comer of North Fifth Street, in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, and after such public hearing at said meeting will consider for adoption said amendments to the Master Plan as adopted by the Regional Planning Commission.
